Amrita is a trained hindustani classical vocal singer with a masters degree in music. Singing has been her passion and she has given numerous performances in India and Canada. She was the first runner up in the”International Indian Icon” for North America in 2015. She has taken training from Shankar Mahadevan and is currently being trained by ghazal maestro Talat aziz. Amrita teaches music in “Sa Re Ga” music academy which is founded by her.
