Melissa Yang graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Specialized Honours in Dance, where she was also Captain of the York Dance Team.
Dancing for the 2015 Pan American Games Closing Ceremonies, Melissa had the great opportunity to work with Paul Becker and Jeff Dimitriou. Most notably, Melissa portrayed “Bride of Frankenstein” and “Regan MacNeil” in the sold out Toronto Fringe’s Festival “The Circus Shop of Horrors”.
On the small screen, Melissa was a contortionist for the two-part season finale of Creeped Out and was a contortionist in the TV movie Transylvania. Additionally she was a dancer and contortionist on the Starz show, American Gods.
Getting back to her roots, Melissa danced with the Chinese contemporary dance company, Little Pear Garden and has also performed with the cirque company A2D2.
