Mrudanga Dance Academy provides training on Odissi dance & Folk dance of Western Orissa from the age group of five onwards in GTA and Windsor, under the artistic direction of Enakshi Sinha who is the Founder Chairperson of the Institution and recipient of several awards from Canada and overseas.
The institution was founded in 2007 and aims to nurture the authentic traditions of Odissi dance and to promote a better understanding and appreciation of Odissi dance among the people of South Asian origin and to other communities as well across Canada.
In 2012, for the very first time Windsorites experienced the two day Indian Classical dance festival started and organized by Mrudanga “Umang- Light of Hope”.
