Omkara Academy of Dance is an idea by Ms. Rupal Patel, Dancer, choreographer, and an art educator, Rupal Patel has transformed her passion for dance into a beautiful exploration of creative expression over the last two decades. Rupal's dance journey began under the expert tutelage of Mrs. Mrunali Sarabhai and Guru Ramaswamy at Darpana Academy, in Ahmedabad, India.
For Omkara Academy dance is religion, every dance form is a way of worship. It is our conviction that an artist should not be stuck and stagnating in the limits of just one domain but should absorb as many approaches and perspectives as possible. Omkara Academy of Dance takes a wholesome approach to dance and along with its flagship domain Bharatanatyam, teaches many other folk dance forms and styles.
