Tanya Hariharan is a 12-year-old sitarist, singer, and performer from Toronto, Canada. Trained in Hindustani classical vocals and Western singing from age 7, she began learning sitar at 9 and quickly emerged as one of Toronto’s youngest sitar talents. Known as the “Sitar Kid of Toronto” and a Saregama India Featured Artist, Tanya blends traditional Hindustani ragas with creative sitar renditions of popular songs and her own Indo-Western fusion compositions. She has performed widely across the Greater Toronto Area, earning recognition from all.Tanya actively shares her musical journey, aiming to promote Indian classical music and enhance the mental health of people by listening to this beautiful acoustics.
